Alright everyone, it's your turn to take a look at the contest entries and let me know what you think. Vote for the one you like best, and let us know in the comments what you like / dislike.

Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to finish it for the contest (I focused too much on the engine itself). After some break (for another project) I decided to finish it and now you can see the result :)
Best regards,
Tomek

I'm sorry that you cannot see how cool prgramming is. You don't have to be a geek to progrm, make games or anything of the like, Its a bit late for me to make comments like this I know but I'm hoping to get started on programming myself soon.
Don't make out your the colest, your just jealous of those who are smart enough to make games. Yeah so you call everyone who makes games geeks, and you love playing games like "COD" say? Well someone had to make that game didn't they!
Now if you see it the way I see it you must be hypocritical to like that game and then you'd stop playing it. Programming jobs pay for a heck of a lot of money and its probably the highest a lot of people can aim to get to. Before you show off your coolness again, think about that.
And if you program yourself, don't take the mick out of people making tetris games, we all have to start somewhere, and I will soon.

Hi Anthony.
Creator of Blockzorz here. Thank you for the kind words :) Addictive gameplay was defininately something I was going for, having played the game Blockzorz was based on (Tetris Attack, Nintendo, 1995) for exactly that reason, so I'm glad someone liked it :D
For my next project, Blockzorz 2, I'll rebuild the game's engine from scratch, improve my particle engine as well as the gameplay. It will also include mouse control, shame I did not have the time to implement it but thanks for the tip and the vote :)

tetris is the ultimate puzzle game, people will always vote for the projects most-like tetris.
blockzorz is very addictive, i think with mouse input this game would be incredible, this gets my vote. i like the presentation of falling in pieces, also thought it was funny when the countdown reaches zero & the game just shuts down!
as for the tetris clones, tough call between zeetrix and bloc. I would go for zeetrix because bloc has a phasing green background which kinda spoils the gameplay, and the rows take too long to dissapear.. otherwise block is a fantastic game with a very nice interface.
couldn't get yage to run, just got a sdl test program... tetris with a twist - is the guy supposed to climb the blocks or something?

Let's keep this poll civil. This contest is about encouraging game development with SDL. :P

Falling in Pieces got out of the standard and innovated and the code is well structured.

What a heated little poll.
Zeetrix guy right here. So I voted once just like everyone else. If you wanted me to cheat the poll I would be much farther ahead, I promise.
Yeah the infinite hold is quite lame. Sorry I missed that one.
But I do agree that source should be a huge factor in judging. I don't know why mine isn't in the download. But feel free to a look yourself.

Its obvious to see here the only person voting for Zeetrix is the guy that made it, Bloc is far superior.
Unless you like being able to just hold a block forever, the only good thing I've seen Zeetrix do is predict where the block will fall, something Bloc already does.
Also why is there no source code for Zeetrix? As I'd also take that into voting consideration, if I could see it.
