Also, what is the CEntity::OnCollision inside CEntity.cpp supposed to do, mine is just empty and it's giving me an error saying it must return a value(it is declared as virtual)

A quick question: In the first code block, is it supposed to be "std::vector CEntityCol::EntityColList;"

instead of "std::vector CEntityCol::EntityColList;"
because im getting an error saying "Argument list for class template std::vector is missing"

On a roll with the comments. :)

A book (or book compilation like I hinted at above) is definitely an option. I'm currently looking into some other options regarding the future of SDLtutorials.com - which if it works out, will help everyone.

I agree with Andrius, you really should write a book. With today's distribution channels there is a good chance for delicious profit. Plus, your tutorials are much clearer and understandable than most books I've read about game programming. That way we can have a more tangible form for the lessons and snippets.

Hey, Tim!

I really wanted to thank you for writing these tutorials, and I really hope you to continue to do so.

You have helped me find an amazing OO design using SDL that not many tutorials have to offer.

Big thanks my friend!

Hi Tim,

There are a lot of tuts for SDL on web, but only a few are object oriented and so well explained!
Very great job !

Have you plan to write other tuts on it?

Thanks a lot.

Andrius,
Thanks! I currently have no plans to write a book, but I have thought about a "book compilation" before when I am satisfied with the tutorial series here.

Hey Tim,
Thanks ALOT for your awsome tutorials on SDL (and good OO programming style). Your tutorials are even more clearer and usefull than printed SDL books ("Focus on SDL" and "Programming Linux games"). Once again, very good and motivating work, keep it up.
By the way, are you, by any chance, planning to write a BOOK on C++ or SDL game programming?

loving the tutes so far. they're great. i'm working on figuring a way to keep the map from going "off". what i mean by that is, the camera is focused on the target, yes, but in case the target is in the top left/top right/bottom left/bottom right areas, the camera doesn't go off into black spaces. a few of the attempts i did had some funny results, like when i was moving the collisions but not the sprites on screen... when i get the solution i'll leave it here.
