yea i tried stop, also loop works well, until the loops end. Basically the buffer is not cleared. I wonder if its a mismatch of 1.3 sdl with 1.2 sdl_mixer

Hmm, could you send me some sample code and music that has this problem? I’ll try to figure it out. You can find my info at http://code.bluedinosaurs.com.

You could try calling one of the ‘stop’ methods, like MixBox::stopMusic or ChannelID::stop. Have you tried different values for the ‘loop’ argument to the ‘play’ methods?

Hello, I implemented mixbox and it works great except that when i have not assigned music or when music finishes playing, anything in the soundbuffer just keeps repeating forever… is there a way to clear the buffer or tell it to use silence? I worked around by playing a silent music track whenever isMusicPlaying() == false … but seems like a bit of a hack.. any ideas? am i doing something wrong?
